About the 9th AEDF

The 9th Aboriginal Economic Development Forum (Forum) will include a welcome reception, plenary sessions with keynote presentations, breakout sessions and a Marketplace showcasing Northern Territory (NT) Aboriginal businesses and services and programs.The Forum will provide an opportunity for Aboriginal businesses from across the NT to showcase their products and services to key stakeholders with a vested interest in progressing Aboriginal economic development.

Building on previous forums, there will be an emphasis on encouraging the sharing of knowledge, experiences and connecting and strengthening relationships between Aboriginal entrepreneurs, private sector, industry, government and non-government organisations. The Forum is one of Australia’s largest Aboriginal economic development specific events.

The Territory is a land alive and inspiring; where we don’t just dream of achieving.We thrive on it.Over thousands of years of uninterrupted culture sees the Aboriginal business sector growing more rapidly than the rest of the economy.

The Territory Government supports a strong, diverse and self-sufficient Aboriginal business sector.



Program

The Forum program is now available online. 

The Forum program consists of plenary and breakout sessions over two days and closes with the Trade Fair showcasing Territory Aboriginal businesses.

Northern Territory Aboriginal Business Trade Fair

To conclude the 9th Aboriginal Economic Development Forum, the Northern Territory Indigenous Business Network with the support of the Department of Trade, Business and Innovation, the National Indigenous Australians Agency and Supply Nation are proud to host the Northern Territory Aboriginal Business Trade Fair in Darwin. The trade fair is a free event and you can register online.

  • conclude with an Aboriginal Business Trade Fair where Territory Aboriginal businesses will showcase their products and services.
